CORCINO SHINES FOR DAYTON
RHP Daniel Corcino (Dayton) yesterday vs Great Lakes allowed just 1 hit over 6.0 shutout innings, walking none while fanning 11…Corcino didn’t allow a run in any of his last 2 starts (11.2ip, 2bb, 17k) and has given up just 3 runs (2er) over his last 5 starts (27.2ip, 0.65era, 6bb, 34k)…Corcino ranks tied for 1st in the Midwest League with 6 wins and 3rd with 48 K.       

GAME REPORTS 

LOUISVILLE 4, DURHAM (RAYS) 7: RHP Mike Leake (0-1) made his minor league debut and was reached for 5 runs on 8 hits in 5.1 innings (0bb, 4k, 2hr)…the Bats scored 4 runs on 8 hits…3b Juan Francisco (2-for-3, 1bb, 2r) and RF Jeremy Hermida (2-for-4, 3rbi) both homered…LF Todd Frazier went 2-for-3 (1bb, 1r).

CAROLINA 6, MOBILE (DODGERS) 16: RHP Dallas Buck (1-5) started for Carolina and allowed 11 runs (10er) in 1.2 innings…the Mudcats crossed the plate 6 times on 10 hits…SS Miguel Rojas paced the offense with 3 hits (2r, 1bb)…RF Felix Perez and CF Denis Phipps had 2 hits apiece.

STOCKTON (A’S) 7, BAKERSFIELD 0: RHP Lance Janke (3-2) started for Bakersfield and gave up 4 runs (3er) on 4 hits in 4.0 innings (6bb, 3k, 1hr)…the Blaze were blanked on 7 hits…LF Josh Fellhauer went 3-for-4.

GREAT LAKES 4, DAYTON 2: Dayton split a doubleheader vs Great Lakes…Gm1: RHP Daniel Corcino (6-2) was brilliant in his 6.0 shutout innings, allowing just 1 hit while striking out 11 (0bb)…the Dragons dented the dish 7 times on 8 hits…3b David Vidal (2-for-2, 2rbi, 1bb) and LF Juan Duran (2-for-3, 3rbi) both homered…Gm2: RHP Daniel Tuttle (3-1) started and allowed 4 runs in 6.0 innings…Dayton managed 2 runs on 3 hits…DH Jaren Matthews went deep for the Dragons.
