The Reds tonight earned their fourth consecutive win, opening the season 4-0 for the first time since 1990.  They beat the Astros, 8-2 in front of 11,821 fans at Great American Ball Park.

Mike Leake made his first appearance since 8/21/10 and earned the victory, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits in 6.0 innings (2bb, 4k, 94TP).

The Reds plated 8 runs on 10 hits.  Drew Stubbs (1r), Brandon Phillips (3r) and Joey Votto (2r, double, RBI) had 2 hits each.  Chris Heisey (1-for-2) drove in 3 runs.

Phillips was replaced by a pinch hitter in the bottom of the 5th inning.  He left the game as a precaution after having the wind knocked out of him when sliding across home plate in the 4th.

Stubbs has hit in 12 straight games dating back to 9/24/10.

The Reds tomorrow look to keep their record unblemished as they take on these same Astros at Great American Ball Park.  First pitch is 7:10.

Roll on Redlegs… but 11, 821? Seriously. Pathetic.

great post, but the new link on the Reds homepage is not so great for BOR. I bet it causes your page visits to be down. We need to see your mugshot.
