RUBY TUESDAY
Another cool and sunny day in Goodyear today…
The big news today, of course, was Dusty naming Edinson Volquez as the Reds Opening Day starting pitcher. Edinson seems pretty excited about the task and said this afternoon that it’s an “honor” to be pitching the lid-lifter in Cincinnati.
I watched Jeremy Hermida, Todd Frazier and Juan Francisco take batting practice this morning, and all three guys were hitting the ball very very hard – especially Frazier, who was hitting some big-time bombs.
You probably wouldn’t believe how much work the team puts into practicing its defensive plays – especially bunt plays with runners on base. It was interesting to see the boys work on those situations today.
But enough commentary, here are today’s photos…

PS – I very much appreciate you folks checking out the blog. I’m very thankful that I get to share all of this with you.

Once again awesome pictures…Wondering where the star program is.
Great blog today Jamie! love the pics as usual! Keep up the great job!!!
Thanks, Mr. Ramsey, for all the photos and commentary. Like I said in Mr. Sheldon’s blog, you two and Mr. Loose Cannon are awesome. I’m Reddy Dean from Twitter. I generally read whatever you post, but I never sign in (mostly due to my terrible internet, it literally takes minutes sometimes just for me to sign in in order to comment). That shall change, though, because I want to see your rankings go up.
It will be really rainy and lousy in Cincy tomorrow. We will need more sunny baseball pictures. Great job as always.
