PICTURE DAY!!
Another cold, rainy day here in the desert…
Sunday was picture day for the boys here at the Goodyear complex. The headshots you see of the players in various publications throughout the season were snapped today, along with video for MLB.com.
Reds players got out of bed a little earlier than normal this morning and dressed in their crispy clean white uniforms to accomodate the photographers.

Oddy, I didn’t see any of the guys with their complimentary black combs in their back pockets.
…………………………………………
When the bulbs stopped flashing, it was time to get to work…in spite of the inclimate weather.
Reds players stretched and hit in the cages, under shelter. The pitchers threw off the six covered mounds near the clubhouse (“the six-pack mounds”).
The weather did break long enough for the guys to get in some long-tossing and running on one of the training fields.
The Redlegs are going to give the fields here in Goodyear extra time to dry tomorrow, so workouts are going to start in the afternoon rather than the morning.
……………………………………………………………..
That’s all for now, I’ll have some more stuff in a bit from Spring Training headquarters!
Expect good news,
Jamie
PS – The Fighter was really good. Thumbs up.

the “catcher’s row” shot….beautiful!
Love the composition…and the subject matter’s pretty awesome too!
