More from the Northern Tour
Here’s an update from the Northern Tour courtesy of Larry Herms, a fellow assistant director of media relations:
The Northern Leg just finished up at Fifth Third Field in Dayton. The stop was for the Reds Community Fund and Reds Rookie Success League. We had roughly 50 people attend this private event to help promote Reds Community fund in Dayton. The Reds have renovated the following baseball fields in Dayton; Belmont Park, Bomberger Park, Clairidge Park, Howell Field, Kettering Fields, McIntosh Park, Miracle League Field at Springboro Middle School, Princeton Park, Stewart Patterson Park, Walnut Hills Park, Washington Park.
Before Dayton we kicked off the Northern leg at Reds flagship ship station 700 WLW. Dusty Baker, Chris Welsh, Travis Wood and Todd Frazier went on the air with Doc Thompson.
We have an injury report on this leg. Jeff Brantley was scratched from Northern Tour for a couple days due to strep throat. He is listed as day to day but he may rejoin the leg Saturday in Dayton at the National Museum of the USAF.
