On Saturday, Oct. 30th, all children wearing a Halloween costume will receive free admission to the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum, when accompanied by a paying adult. Kids will receive a goodie bag with a Hall of Fame mini bat and candy, and the first 40 kids will get a free Reds batting helmet. Hours for the “Halloween at the HOF” are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regularly priced admission is $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Active military and veterans receive 50% off regular admission and children 4 and younger are free.
To illustrate how awesome the Reds Hall of Fame is, especially for kids, loyal Better Off Red reader and one-half of the Royal Ladies of BOR, Mary Beth Muething recently took her nephews Tony (“TNT”) and Daniel (“Big D”) to the Reds HOF museum.
By all indications, everyone had a great time and Mary Beth even sent me a few photos…
Colin Ethier, who does wonderful work in the Reds Hall of Fame tells me that this weekend is the last for the HOF’s collectible gift promotion highlighting the Pete Rose print and the anniversary of “4192″.
This is the perfect time of the year to visit the Reds Hall of Fame, especially if you’ve never been. It’s quite amazing. I promise you’ll love it.

Special “happy birthday” wishes go out today to Kalee Maloney! Happy Birthday, Kalee! Namaste!
Today is a sad day for us here in the Reds front office. Not only is it the last day for media relations intern Will “Big” Toman, who gave us several months of laughs, eye-rolls and head-shakes, but it’s also the last day for one of my all-time favorite people ever to walk through the doors of the Reds Administration Building, Emily Burley (formerly Emily Tincher).
Emily, who has been with the Reds since the Johnny Vander Meer days, recently went and got hitched. She and her husband are going to begin their married life together in California to mine for gold, herd cattle and build a children’s casino.
In all seriousness, I’m going to miss Emily like crazy. She’s a great young lady who often was the only one in a room-full of employees who appreciated/got/related to my humor.
Keep in touch, Tinch!!
Please don’t forget about Reds Fantasy Camp. I’m still hoping I can go. If any of you folks are thinking about it, please let me know. If I can persuade any of you to sign up, it might give me a chance!
That’s all for now. I’m filming more BOR Fit Club videos today with Reds strength and conditioning coordinator Matt Krause. (They’ll live on THIS site when finished).
Thanks for continuing to log-on during the offseason! I appreciate it very much. Thank you!
Have a safe weekend!
