Fans Encouraged to Ride Bicycles to the Sept. 12 Reds Game
CINCINNATI (September 2, 2010) – Hop on your bicycle and pedal to Great American Ball Park for the inaugural “Reds Riders – Bike 2 Baseball” event on Sunday, Sept. 12 as the Reds take on the Pittsburgh Pirates at 1:10pm.
Free and secure bicycle parking will be available at the southeast corner of 2nd Street and Joe Nuxhall Way from Noon until 30 minutes after end of the game, thanks to The City of Cincinnati Transportation Department.
The Reds are offering ½ price tickets for all cyclists in the Sun/Moon Deck for only $11, regularly $22.
Buy ½ price tickets online at www.reds.com/bike2bball. All tickets can picked up on game day at the bicycle parking area.
The first 50 to register online by Sept. 8th will receive a complimentary gift bag. Please bring a backpack (for your giftbag), lock and helmet. Cyclists are asked to walk their bikes in crowded areas both before and after the game.
An organized ride from Northside to the game is being planned by the Reds Riders group, featuring several world-famous art deco buildings and one mystery site along the way.
