Part 3

LHP Aroldis Chapman yesterday was recalled from Class AAA Louisville (39g, 13gs, 9-6-8, 3.57, 95.2ip, 77h, 52bb, 125k, 7hr, .218oba)…he made his Major League debut last night vs Milwaukee, pitching a scoreless inning (1k)…he made his first 13 apps for Louisville as a starter (5-5, 4.11) and his last 26 apps in relief (4-1, 2.40, converted 8-9 save opps, .156oba)…didn’t allow a hit in his last 8 apps for the Bats (8ip)…in his last 20 apps posted a 0.83era (21.2ip, 2er) and in his last 13 apps opposing batters went 4-for-48 (.083, 13.1ip, 4bb, 25k)…in his final appearance for the Bats, on Fri vs Columbus, hit 105mph on the radar gun.

Published reports around the world today are declaring Chapman to be pretty good.

In case you were wondering, Chapman entered the game last night in the 8th inning to the sounds of The Alan Parsons Project’sSirius.”  Needless to say, I along with the rest of the 19,000 people in the ballpark got a “sirius” case of goosebumps.
