LAKE COUNTY (INDIANS) 5, DAYTON 11: Don’t look now but the Dragons have won 4 straight…Dayton erupted in the 3rd inning with an 8-run frame…SS Didi Gregorius and RF Josh Garton (2r, 2rbi) had 3 hits apiece…CF Alex Oliveras (3rbi) belted his 4th home run…1b Dominic D’Anna went 2-for-4 with 4 RBI…RHP Tim Crabbe (3-6) started for Dayton and allowed 5 runs (3er) on 7 hits in 5.0 innings (1bb, 5k)…the Dragons bullpen pitched 4.0 scoreless innings of relief.

OGDEN (DODGERS) 13, BILLINGS 3: RHP Jesus Adames started for the Mustangs and allowed 3 runs in 3.0 innings…LHP Luca Panerati (0-1) suffered the loss in relief (2.1ip, 3h, 2r, 2bb, 2k)…the Mustangs pushed across 3 runs on 5 hits…2b Billy Hamilton went 1-for-5 with a run scored.

Louisville outfielder Wladimir Balentien last night vs Indianapolis went 3-for-4 with 2 home runs to extend his hitting streak to 8 games…in 20 games this month he’s batting .468 (37-for-79) with a .522 on-base percentage and a .785 slugging percentage…in 108 games overall this season for the Bats, Balentien is batting .289 with 24 HR, 75 RBI and a .551 slugging pct…he’s hitting lefties at a .368 clip (39-for-106, 8hr, 22rbi).   

The Dragons last night completed a 4-game series sweep over Lake County…it’s the first time since 7/6-7/9 that the Dragons have won 4 in-a-row and the first time they’ve done it at home since winning 6 straight from 4/30-5/12…the series sweep marked Dayton’s first series victory since 7/7-7/9 at Bowling Green…over the last 7 games, Dayton pitchers have posted a 2.66 ERA.
