Friday, August 13, 2010 – Cincinnati Reds vs. Florida Marlins, 7:10 pm
? Fireworks: Post-game fireworks show starting approximately 15 minutes after the end of the game, presented by Toyota. Performers from the Amazing Portable Circus to provide pre-fireworks entertainment.
? Baseball Tomorrow Fund: During pregame ceremonies, MLB’s Baseball Tomorrow Fund, in conjunction with the Reds Community Fund, will present a $5,000 grant to the Fairfield Community Foundation in support of the Joe Nuxhall Character Education Fund and its Reds Rookie Success League – Butler County program. It’s the fourth consecutive year that the Fund’s team directed donation has gone to the JNCEF.
? Morgan at the HOF: HOF’er Joe Morgan will meet and greet with fans at the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum from 5:45 to 6:45pm. Free with museum admission. Photographs are welcome, no autographs.
? First Pitch #1: WLWT News 5 anchor Sheree Paolello will offer up a ceremonial first pitch on behalf of Pampers/UNICEF Night.
? First Pitch #2: 2010 National Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Doug Harvey will offer up one of the other ceremonial first pitches tonight as well. Harvey was a National League umpire from 1962-1992.
? Anthem: Miss Ohio 2009 Erica Gelhaus will sing our National Anthem tonight.
Saturday, August 14, 2010 – Cincinnati Reds vs. Florida Marlins, 7:10 pm
? Garden Gnome: The first 20,000 fans in attendance will receive a free Reds Garden Gnome, presented by Chiquita. Fans are encouraged to send in photos of the gnome as he roams around Reds Country: reds.com/gnomes.
? Match ceremonies: Participants, coaches and sponsors of the Reds Community Fund’s “Match” program will be honored on the field during pregame ceremonies. Now in its fifth season, the “Match” program blends inner-city and suburban baseball organizations using baseball as the common language. Each “Match” receives a $2,000 grant from the RCF to underwright the expenses of the joint activities.
? Janish at Lowe’s: Infielder Paul Janish will be signing autographs and meeting with fans on Saturday from 11:30am to 1:30 pm at the Lowe’s Home Improvement store at 5385 Ridge Avenue, Cincinnati, 45213.
Sunday, August 15, 2010 – Cincinnati Reds vs. Florida Marlins, 1:10 pm
? Kids Backpack: Free Kids Catcher’s Backpack to the first 10,000 kids 14 and younger, presented by Cincinnati Bell.
? Reds Tailgate: Fans can purchase a lower level seat with a $10 concession voucher for just $25. Visit reds.com/tailgate for details. The Fan Zone will have tailgate games and activities to celebrate the Bengals first home preseason game taking place tonight. Ben-Gals cheerleaders and Bengals mascot “Who-Dey” will be in attendance. A limited edition Joey Votto t-shirt in Bengals colors will be on sale in the Team Shop.
? BTF/MLB Equipment Day: In support of our ongoing commitment to increase opportunities for youth participation in baseball and softball, the Reds are teaming up with the Baseball Tomorrow Fund and MLB to host an Equipment Collection Drive. Fans are invited to bring new and used equipment, as well as make cash contributions, which will benefit local organizations.
? Meijer Family Days: One member of the family pays full price and the rest of the immediate family may purchase select non-premium tickets at half-price in advance of game day only. Excludes Outer View Level and Kroger Bleachers.
? Run the Bases: Fans of all ages can line up after the game to run the bases, presented by JS Gold & Coin.
Reds Hall of Fame and Museum
? August Giveaway: The fifth in a series of six in-season collectible gifts from the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum will be a Marge Schott Bobblehead, featuring Marge, Schottzie, and the 1990 World Series Trophy. The limited edition bobblehead is part of the ongoing tribute to the 1990 Championship season and the 1990 exhibit. The first 4,500 full-price paying guests to the museum during August on any Friday, Saturday, or Sunday will receive the bobblehead as a gift.
Reds Community Fund’s Split The Pot
? Support the Reds Community Fund by purchasing a “Split The Pot” ticket at every Reds home game this season. The $2 tickets are available at the Community Corner presented by Coldwell Banker West Shell, located near section 120. One lucky fan each game will win 50% of the net proceeds, with the remainder of the proceeds benefiting the baseball-themed outreach initiatives of the Reds Community Fund. Ticket prices: 1 for $2, 3 for $5, 7 for $10 and 15 for $20.
