I snapped this photo right as “The Loose Cannon” John Fay approached Reds Director of Media Relations Rob Butcher to ask if it was ok to eat paper. Before Rob could answer, Fay shouted ”BECAUSE I DID AND YOU CAN’T ARREST ME!” As you can see in the photo, Rob is reaching behind his back where he keeps the FayZer Taser.

I appreciate the update on Fay. Have to say, I’m concerned. What is he doing on the field during batting practice? It sounds to me, with this latest episode, that Fay now considers himself some kind of post-paper digital superhero, what with his blog and all, and he may very well be that for all I know — but I also know that I don’t want him anywhere near our baseball heroes as they get ready for a ballgame. I seem to recall some ugliness involving the batting cage at spring training….
Know what I mean?
