'VOTE REDS LUNCH' TODAY!
The VOTE REDS Lunch kicks off in less than an hour here at the ballpark. If you can’t make it down here to GABP for the free pizza and ballot stuffing, you can still join me on Twitter (twitter.com/jamieblog) to participate in all of the action!
If you are planning to attend today, you’re encouraged to park anywhere you want except along Joe Nuxhall Way (and Jonny Gomes’ parking spot…that would be bad…really bad).
Enter through the main gates at Crosley Terrace and there will be a kindly person there to escort you up into my neck of the woods – the press area/press dining room.
We’re gonna have some laptops set up and free pizza. And, brace yourself for the riveting 2-second tour of Better Off Red Headquarters. It’s going to blow your mind.
Can’t wait to see you (in-person/on Twitter)!
In the meantime, here’s video of last night’s postgame reaction from the Reds clubhouse.
From our good friends at Elias Sports Bureau…
• Scott Rolen’s 300th career home run gave the Reds a 2-0 lead and they cruised from there to a 7-3 victory over the Phillies on Monday night. Among some of the other players who also hit century-milestone home runs of 300 or higher against the team for which they made their major-league debut are Babe Ruth (300th vs. the Red Sox), Jimmie Foxx (500th vs. the Athletics) and Barry Bonds (600th vs. the Pirates).
I’ll have some more pics from recent happenings later today…
