Aaron Harang earned the victory tonight, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits over 7.0 innings (5bb, 2k, 2hr).

The Redlegs plated 10 runs on 12 hits.

Drew Stubbs went 2-for-4 with a home run (#8), 2 runs scored and 4 RBI.

Scott Rolen belted his 16th home run of the season when he took Aaron Laffey deep in the 2nd inning. It marked Rolen’s 299th career homer.

Brandon Phillips, Orlando Cabrera and Jay Bruce had 2 hits apiece.

Joey Votto walked twice to extend his streak of reaching base safely to 33 consecutive games.  It’s the longest such streak by a Red since Dante Bichette reached safely in 33 straight in 2000.

With tonight’s win and Cardinals’ loss, Cincinnati soars back into sole possession of first place in the National League Central.

In honor of Irish Heritage Night at the ballpark, the Reds wore green caps during the game.

“You want to win at home, especially in front of big crowds.” – Dusty

“We just ran into a little bit of a snag in Seattle…we went to Oakland and turned things around and just brought it home from there.  We’ve got to keep it going through the All-Star break.” - Harang

“It’s huge going out there and not having to worry about making 1 or 2 mistakes.  Throughout the game the guys came out swinging, hitting well.  You’ve gotta tip your cap to that.” – Harang on tonight’s Reds offense
