From our good friends at Elias Sports Bureau

• Brandon Phillips went 4-for-5 on Thursday to extend his hitting streak to 13 games, which is the longest current streak in the Major Leagues.  Phillips is hitting .441 (26 for 59) during the streak and he’s raised his batting average from .257 to .301.  It’s the latest into any season Phillips has been hitting .300 since he was at .301 through 124 games in 2006.
