LOUISVILLE 1, INDIANAPOLIS (PIRATES) 6: Indianapolis pounded out 15 hits en route to the victory…RHP Sam LeCure (2-1) started for Louisville and allowed 4 runs on 10 hits in 6.0 innings (2bb, 6k)…The Bats were held to 1 run on 6 hits…RF Chris Burke went 2-for-4 and scored the lone run.
CAROLINA 2, JACKSONVILLE (MARLINS) 8: Carolina dropped its 7th straight…RHP Dallas Buck (1-3) started for the Mudcats and allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 5.1 innings (4bb, 2k, 1hr)…LHP Joe Krebs pitched 2.0 scoreless innings of relief (1h, 1bb, 2k)…Carolina scored 2 runs on 7 hits…C Chris Denove belted his first home run of the season…PH Sean Henry and CF Denis Phipps both doubled.
LYNCHBURG 4, POTOMAC (NATIONALS) 6 (10 INNINGS): RHP Scott Carroll (4.2ip, 6h, 2r/2er, 2bb, 3k, 1hr) gave up a 2-run walkoff homer in the bottom of the 10th…LHP Matt Fairel started for Lynchburg and allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in 4.2 innings (1bb, 6k)…The Hillcats were led offensively by 1b Carlos Mendez (3-for-5, double, 1r), C Neftali Soto (2-for-5, 1r) and DH Devin Mesoraco (1-for-3, 3-run HR).
DAYTON 3, LANSING (BLUE JAYS): 7: Dayton lost its 4th straight game…RHP Brian Pearl (1-1) started for the Dragons and was reached for 7 runs on 4 hits in 3.1 innings (3bb, 0k)…LHP Ezequiel Infante pitched 2.2 scoreless innings of relief (6h, 2k)…Dayton scored 3 runs on 7 hits…C Mark Fleury went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

SOTO CATCHIN’ ON
Lynchburg’s Neftali Soto yesterday vs Potomac made his 3rd start of the season behind the plate…In addition to his 3 appearances at catcher, Soto has appeared at first base (6g) and third base (4g)…Following the 2008 season, Baseball America named Soto the 10th-best prospect in the organization…last year he batted .248 in 131 games with Class-A Sarasota (125-for-505, 11hr, 57rbi, 21 doubles, 23bb, 95k).
NEGRON GETTIN’ ON
Carolina’s Kris Negron has reached base safely in all 16 of his games this season with the Mudcats…Negron is batting .250 (14-for-56) with 13r, 6rbi, 11bb, 12k and a .386 on-base percentage.
ALONSO FEELIN’ BETTER
1b/of Yonder Alonso returned to the diamond yesterday as a defensive replacement at 1B, one day after suffering a right shoulder contusion after crashing into the outfield wall while attempting to make a catch.
