CINCINNATI (January 12, 2010) – The 2010 Reds Winter Caravan, presented by Cincinnati USA Regional Tourism Network and, is scheduled to make 14 fan stops in four states covering four days and more than 2,600 miles.

The caravan kicks off Thursday, Jan. 28 and will include stops that will be open to the public along with Hot Stove stops at Reds on Radio network affiliates.

The 2010 tour will consist of three separate caravans touring simultaneously. New features of the 2010 Caravan include a stop in Oxford, Ohio at Miami University and a stop at Great American Ball Park in conjunction with the annual “Select-A-Seat” event for prospective season ticket holders. Specific information about the GABP stop will be released next week.

The very popular Reds Winter Caravan provides fans from all over Reds Country the opportunity to interact with Reds managers, players, broadcasters and front office executives. At each stop, the groups will field questions from fans and sign autographs, in addition to raffling off two tickets to the 2010 Opening Day game against the St. Louis Cardinals on April 5.

The Northern Tour makes stops in West Virginia and Ohio and includes Reds Hall of Fame Broadcaster Marty Brennaman; former Reds pitcher and current Reds TV Broadcaster Chris Welsh; Reds Vice President and Assistant General Manager Bob Miller; Reds second baseman and 2008 Gold Glove winner Brandon Phillips; Reds 1990 World Series team member Glenn Braggs; Reds Minor League Player of the Year Chris Heisey and Reds mascot Gapper.

The Southern Tour makes stops in West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky and includes Reds Broadcaster Jeff Brantley; Reds Broadcaster Jim Kelch; Manager Dusty Baker; Reds Hall of Famer and 1990 World Series team member Eric Davis; Reds shortstop Paul Janish (Thursday/Friday only); Reds infielder Adam Rosales (Saturday/Sunday only); 2009 Southern League All-Star and Reds Minor League Player of the Month for June, shortstop Zack Cozart; Reds Senior Special Assistant to the General Manager Gene Bennett (Thursday only) and Reds mascot Rosie Red.

The Western Tour makes stops in Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio and includes Reds Broadcaster Thom Brennaman; Reds Chief Operating Officer Phil Castellini; President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Walt Jocketty; Reds 1990 World Series team member and Dayton Dragons Manager Todd Benzinger; Reds outfielder Jay Bruce; 2009 Southern League All-Star and Reds’ No. 1 hitting prospect according to Baseball America, Todd Frazier and Reds mascot Mr. Redlegs.

Sales representatives will be on hand at each stop to answer ticketing questions, while the Reds Hall of Fame, the Reds Community Fund and Cincinnati USA Regional Tourism Network also will attend selected stops.

In addition to the public stops, the Caravan will be making stops in Dayton, Louisville and Vevay, Ind. to promote the Reds Community Fund’s youth baseball initiatives, along with a hospital visit in Lexington, Ky.
